Lots of Biking, Some Museums, Interview

Benton
Allan

Today we got up and started the day by going to W.B. Samson - Grünerløkka, where Benton finally managed to get some Skolebrød. Next, we took a super long bike ride out to The Fram Museum (about 5.5 miles, see the route in orange on the map), and it was impressive how in nature we felt even though we left from the city center. It was also neat that there were still bikeshare racks all the way out at Fram. The Fram museum itself was cool (Benton had been before), and it was cool to learn more about Roald Amundsen and some of the other famous arctic explorers.

After the museum, we took the ferry back to Aker Brygge, at which point Benton got a notification that his bike ride was coming up on the 3 hour limit. Unfortunately, this meant that Benton had to Uber back to the museum to dock his bike, which he did.

After properly docking his bike at the museum, Benton then undocked it again and rode back into town, meeting Allan for a very late, but very tasty bahn mi lunch at Briskeby Banh Mi. After lunch, it was time for Benton to head back to the hotel to work, and Allan went to Munch.

At Munch, Allan saw The Scream, and he found it interesting that there are 3 versions of The Scream that are at the museum (with the famous one only being shown once every 2 hours or so to reduce the amount of light exposure it gets).

Allan eventually made his way back to the hotel, arriving around 7:15pm to start studying for his interview on Tuesday. Unfortunately, when he pulled up the interview details to start studying, he realized the interview was on Monday instead of Tuesday (in 15 minutes). After a bit of panic, he was able to do the interview, which went okay but not great.

The interview was pretty long, and didn’t finish up until around 9:30pm, at which point we went to get dinner at Theka - Indian Street Food & Bar. After dinner, we both went back to work (Allan was much less stressed since his interview was over), and then we slept.
