We started our last day in Oslo with the typical café/pastry run; Benton got a cardamom bun from Frida Bakery, while Allan opted for a rhubarb tart.
After the café, we biked to the metro, and took it all the way to Oslo Klatresenter AS (a climbing gym partially owned by a youtuber named Magnus Midtbø). Allan bought some “MagDust” (rock climbing chalk), and then we bouldered for a while. In general, the climbs were pretty cool, but we did note that the easiest climbs in the gym were much harder than the easiest climbs in the gyms we were more used to (i.e. this would not be a good place to bring someone for their first time climbing).
While not as extensive as the climbing gym in Prague, climbing here was a cool experience (we also got to watch some really good climbers do a few crazy top rope climbs). Benton bought another cardamom bun from the café inside the gym, and then we transited all the way back to Majorstuen.
After arriving, we got sushi for lunch at Roll Sushi Majorstua. Allan used his cash to pay, and despite being a dollar-ish short, the owner of the place was totally fine with it (and gave us a free bottle of water). He was super nice, and during chatting with us shared that apparently SALT is supposed to shut down soonish (so no more sauna there at least). He said the reason is that SALT looks to ugly compared to the other buildings on the water in that area (which is true).
Sushi was good, and after we walked to The Vigeland Park, which has a bunch of sculptures in it. Some of the sculptures are pretty funny, including one with a man punting a baby 🤷, and overall it was neat to see.
Benton needed to work after the park, so he took the bus back home, while Allan roamed around to shop for a bit. Allan eventually came back and we got ramen at Koie Ramen Løkka, following by a single beer from Grünerløkka Brygghus to cap off the many beers on this trip.
The rest of the night was pretty uneventful, as we mainly just packed and then went to bed.
