Today was our last day in Prague (we had a train to Berlin around 4pm), so we started the day off by packing up, checking out of the Airbnb, and dropping off our bags at Prague Main Station. Unfortunately, the UX of checking in bags at the station was a mess, requiring a phone number and preventing others from opening more lockers until the previous person was completely done loading. This delayed our drop off by quite a bit since we had to wait in line, but eventually we checked in everything successfully.
After dropping off luggage, Ryan, Allan, and Benton went to Climbing Center SmÃchOff (the climbing gym recommended by our beer tour guide). The climbing gym was absolutely massive and barely had any people in it, and we got a day pass for like $12. 10/10
After that, Ryan, Allan, and Benton then went to lunch at Pho Anděl for some Vietnamese food before transiting back towards the train station. We stopped at Bazilika sv. Ludmily along the way and grabbing some small, delicious pastries from Dolce mente.
The other 3 (Joe, Elizabeth, and Shashank) spent the way wandering around the city. Elizabeth decided to go clothes shopping and Joe and Shashank pretended to be interested for a bit before splitting off to a coffee shop. After a couple purchases Elizabeth met back up with the boys and they went to a street festival to get some food. After eating, the group went to chill at the park.
All 6 of us met us at the train station and hung out in the adjacent park for a bit before boarding our train to Berlin. The train ride itself was again uneventful, and we arrived in Berlin around 8:45pm.
When checking into our Berlin Airbnb (near 52° 30’ 12.4272" N 13° 29’ 28.9464" E), we were greeted by our absolutely massive host, Jan. Since it was late, we quickly dropped off our things and went to Wurscht & Knolle for dinner, where service was slow, but the portions were huge (huge enough that even though Joe’s dish never came out, we still had some leftovers). Joe’s friend Omar arrived as well; he lives in Paris but used to live in Berlin and had come to visit/stay with us.
By the time dinner was over, it was late, so we just went back to the Airbnb and slept.
